Confirm the boards and everything underneath

ALU-R Pro catalogue profiles. The decking catalogue lists profiles YX-XWG-1147 and YX-XWG-1207A and describes hollow aluminium construction with a co-extruded TPE surface. Your quotation should identify the selected profile and surface, together with the supporting frame and installation scope.

Board system
Ask for the actual aluminium profile, dimensions, finish and matching sample. Cut-to-site length does not describe the board profile.
Supporting work
Confirm the joists, supports and fixings specified for those boards, including the proposed finished floor height.
Edges and drainage
Show the door thresholds, perimeter and drains. Agree how the installation will retain drainage access.
Handover
Request photographs of the frame before boarding, plus care instructions and written warranty coverage.

Which ALU-R Pro decking profiles can I ask about?
The ALU-R Pro decking catalogue lists profiles YX-XWG-1147 and YX-XWG-1207A. It describes the decking as a hollow aluminium extrusion with a co-extruded TPE surface. Ask for the quoted profile and a matching surface sample, together with the supporting frame, fixings, edges and drainage scope.
Why aluminium instead of composite boards?
Aluminium and WPC are different board systems. Compare the actual profile, finish, support spacing, frame, drainage and written terms for your space. Neither a longer span, a lighter frame nor a higher installed price follows from the material name alone; confirm the specified system and complete quotation.
Can decking be laid straight onto an existing slab?
It should not be. The frame lifts the boards clear so water can leave and air can move underneath, and it lets the surface be levelled and given a fall independently of whatever the slab is doing.
How do I know the substructure was built properly?
Ask for photographs of the frame before the boards go down. Once the deck is boarded nobody can see the joists, the pedestal heights or the fall, and that is where decks fail.
Can you plan aluminium decking with a roof and blinds?
